Katia Skanavi has been re-invited by Kurt Masur and the Orchestre National de France for a performance of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No 1 at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées on 26 June. In May, Katia is on tour with Yuri Bashmet and the Moscow Soloists for performances of Shostakovich’s Piano Concerto No 1 and Bach’s D Minor Concerto in Bregenz, Almere and Apeldoorn.

With concerts on 1 and 5 June in Logroño and Barcelona, Marie-Elisabeth Hecker makes her debut with the Wiener Symphoniker and Fabio Luisi, performing Dvorák’s Cello Concerto.

After earning widespread plaudits for his complete cycle of Beethoven Sonatas in Monte Carlo, François-Frédéric Guy’s Beethoven Project continues with a CD release on Naïve, featuring Piano Concertos 1 and 5 with Philippe Jordan and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. In June he performs Mahler’s Das Lied von der Erde at the Musée d'Orsay before joining the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra and Alexander Lazarev for performances of Rachmaninov’s Rhapsody on a theme of Paganini in Tokyo.

Viviane Hagner’s position as Artist in Residence at the Konzerthaus Berlin culminates with three concerts on 19, 20 and 21 June, featuring the world premiere of Aureliano Cattaneo’s Violin Concerto – a work specially commissioned for this occasion.
