Ekkehard Jung, Artist Manager

Following studies in music (violin and viola) and a post-graduate degree in Arts Management at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg, Ekkehard Jung freelanced for various arts organisations including project managing the 'Sixpack 94' theatre festival. Following this, he was appointed orchestra manager of the Hamburger Symphoniker in 1994, a position he held for four years. In 1998 he joined the team of the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen as Artistic Administrator. His responsibilities included artistic planning, securing paid engagements for the orchestra and tour management for extensive touring through Europe, North America, Asia and Japan. In 2001 he joined Van Walsum Management as an Artist Manager and moved from Hannover to the London office at the end of 2005.
